Ignition SCADA & HMI Development
Operator-friendly Ignition applications built on a clean, standardized architecture, from a single production line to a multi-site enterprise.

Signs it's time
Operators work around the HMI
Cluttered screens and alarm floods make it hard to spot what actually needs attention.
Every screen is a one-off
Without templates and UDTs, adding equipment means custom work, and every change carries risk.
Visibility stops at the control room
Supervisors and engineers need secure access from a browser, tablet or phone.
Licensing limits growth
Per-client and per-tag licensing makes every new screen or user a budget conversation.
What's included
What we deliver
- ISA-101 high-performance HMI: Calm, grayscale-first screens where color is reserved for abnormal conditions.
- Perspective & Vision development: Responsive web and mobile views in Perspective, or traditional desktop clients in Vision.
- Standardized UDTs & templates: Reusable equipment models so adding a machine is configuration, not custom code.
- Alarming & notifications: Prioritized alarms with shelving and acknowledgment, plus routing via email, SMS or webhooks.
- Historian & trending: Ignition Tag Historian on SQL databases like Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL, with trends and reports built in.
- Security & access control: Role-based permissions, Active Directory, and SSO/MFA through identity providers like Okta or Duo.
- Modern deployment: Containerized gateways on-premises or in AWS, Azure or GCP, with projects tracked in Git.
Typical deliverables
- Ignition project, version-controlled in Git
- Tag and UDT structure documentation
- Screen and alarm standards guide
- Architecture and network diagram
- Operator and admin training
- Commissioning and go-live support
Technologies we work with
Every project is secure by design, with role-based access, SSO/MFA and version control built in.
FAQ
Common questions
Why choose Ignition over other SCADA platforms?
Ignition is licensed per server with unlimited tags, screens and clients, runs in a web browser, and uses Python for scripting. That makes it far cheaper to expand and easier to maintain than most traditional SCADA packages.
Can you work alongside our in-house team or PLC programmers?
Yes. We regularly slot into existing teams, whether that means building the whole application or unblocking a project that has stalled.
Can Ignition run in the cloud?
Yes. We deploy Ignition in Docker containers on-premises or in AWS, Azure or Google Cloud. Our own live demo runs this way in Google Cloud.
Do you provide support after go-live?
Yes. Every project includes documentation and training, and we offer ongoing support for changes, upgrades and troubleshooting.
